These terms cover your use of Taskvale. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and delete it.
What Taskvale is
Taskvale helps you keep track of tasks. The app is free to use for that purpose: unlimited tasks, lists, reminders, statistics, read-aloud and backup are all included at no cost. The only paid part is the collection of illustrated scenes.
Taskvale Pro
Pro unlocks every illustrated scene, including scenes added later. Everything else in the app stays free whether or not you buy it.
Free trial
New installations include a 7-day trial with every scene unlocked. The trial is granted by the app itself, not by the App Store or Google Play. It requires no payment details, does not convert into a subscription, and simply ends. Nothing is charged unless you choose to buy.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google — we never receive your payment details.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until you turn renewal off. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policy, not by us. For Apple, use reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google, use the Play Store's order history. If a refund is granted, Pro access ends.
Price changes
If we change the price of a subscription, the new price applies only to future renewals, and the store will notify you and ask for consent where its rules require it. A lifetime purchase is never charged again.
Your content
Your tasks are yours. We claim no ownership of anything you write in Taskvale and we do not use it to train anything. If you turn on Backup & Sync, you give us only the permission needed to store and transmit that content so the feature can work. Deleting your account deletes the backup — see the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another person's account.
- Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
- Do not use the app for anything illegal.
We may suspend accounts that do these things.
Availability
We aim to keep Taskvale working and to keep backups intact, but the app is provided as-is. Sync depends on your network and on our hosting provider, and we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taskvale is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Ending these terms
You can stop at any time by deleting the app; delete your account first if you also want the backup removed. We may end your access if you materially breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Taskvale after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your country of residence must apply.
